Recently I spoke with a friend who told me about a very difficult situation. Her future in this country had suddenly been compromised. She unexpectedly had to move in with friends, completely in the dark about what was to come. Uproar on the outside… Her situation was extremely unsettling.
And peace on the inside
In prayer, in the midst of all the commotion, she experienced peace that she could not describe. A state of calm, confidence and even happiness.
Her testimony amazed me, and I found it remarkable. I realised that this peace is not out of reach. God’s peace transcends all situations; it is for you and for me, no matter the circumstances we may be facing.

This reminded me of these verses:
Trust in the Lord
with all your heart
and lean not
on your own understanding;
in all your ways
submit to him,
and he will make
your paths straight.
