Do you feel ”small„ ? God bet on you !

To all those who feel small
Unimportant, insignificant?

A man named Saul of Tarsus witnessed the stoning of Stephen, a Christian who shone for the Lord and who had just publicly testified in His favour. If at first he was a fierce persecutor against faith in Jesus Christ, Saul soon became a strong advocate of Christian faith. He is even considered to be one of the greatest preachers and missionaries of his time. But this great man is better known as Paul, which means ‘little one’. So, today’s message is especially for those who, for one reason or another, feel ‘small’, insignificant or unimportant.

Whether you feel small because, like Paul, you persecuted Christians before converting, or small because you have internalised the negative views of those close to you, who seem to think that you don’t live up to their expectations, which in turn imprison and prevent you from spreading your wings, or small because you feel out of place, or small perhaps, following one or more failures… In a word, whatever the reasons for these discouragements may be, it is high time to realise that God has bet on you!

God’s masterpiece!

Now that you have received the Lord and tasted free salvation by grace, God would like you to do the works He has prepared for you. I am referring here to Ephesians chapter 2, verse 10, which says:

“For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Having an identity in God

It is not a matter of being an activist, but a matter of listening to your heart to identify what the Lord has put there and to move forward on a daily basis. Take a first step in the direction that seems right to you, doing things that seem insignificant at first; but as a result of your faithfulness in these small things, God will entrust you with greater ones. A first commitment opens up to a second, then to a third, and so on. You may also be led to do innovative things!

In any case, do not undermine the various ventures that God entrusts you with. And above all, avoid comparing yourself to others. The important thing is to show up. Life is exciting when we let the Lord lead us and do what He desires!

So, everyone has a responsibility in order to make the Body of Christ function well, to make disciples and to allow the world benefit from the believers’ portion.

Here is a verse that I keep close during my service: it is Matthew 11:30 where Jesus says: “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”, so it is neither heavy nor tiring. It is a source of joy when we let Jesus be the Lord and Guide of our lives.

Great in the eyes of God, a human being of great worth

So, Paul, the little one, did the works prepared for him, he was and is great in the eyes of God!

Change your mindset towards yourself!

Change your mind !

God is on your side! Have a nice day!

Luke 16:10: “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.
