has made you aware of your real needs for PSY and SPI restoration.

Here is an illustration of phenomena that you experience regularly. The allegory of the volcano will help you to understand yourself better!

The joys of life and

less pleasant experiences

Throughout your life, you have accumulated many experiences, some linked to the happiness of being loved and the joy of living, others more painful because they are marked by fear, disappointment, pain, suffering, abuse of all kinds, violence, injustice, betrayal, harshness, rejection, abandonment, hatred, abuse, anger, death, grief, disasters, war and so on.

Their manifestations

Even today, you are affected both positively and negatively by all the sensations that are ‘programmed’ in you, i.e. recorded within you; they therefore exert an influence on your thoughts, decisions, actions, attitudes, behaviour, relationships, values and lifestyle, most of the time without your knowledge

Sometimes the situation is under control : the volcano is dormant… In other words, you manage to deal with your wounds – however old they may be – and the emotions associated with them, even if they are active deep down inside.

Suddenly,

the pressure is too great

And suddenly… there’s an eruption! Sometimes predictable, sometimes not…

In any case, depending on the circumstances, the pressure has become too great: like magma stored deep inside you, your negative (un)conscious memories-sensations emerge like a volcano erupting; this eruption can be sudden and violent, or more moderate, nuanced and restricted.

Why an eruption?

In fact, it’s the manifestation of intense activity hidden from view, and often even from you for a certain amount of time in one or more inner ‘chambers’, a bubbling deep within you that can no longer be kept under control.

But what is it all about?

At some point, it must come out! Indeed, you can no longer contain your negative emotions; you use the circumstances of the moment as excuses to dare to express your emotions. You overract and behave inappropriately.

Dangerous and disastrous

In any case, it’s best to keep living beings out of the vicinity, because an eruption destroys, causes disasters and can lead to death (of the relationship, for example)…

Sometimes your friends play firemen and try to put out the fire… possibly at their expense!

Links between yesterday and today…

Therefore, there are links between the emotional wounds of your past and what you express today.

As a result, stored within you, your bad experiences can orient your identity in an inappropriate direction; they can shape your relationship with yourself, with others and with God… in short, your whole life!

God through Jesus Christ

has done everything possible to restore you

His desire is for you to take care of your emotional wounds, even the old ones – the traumas – which today act without your mind being aware, nor your thoughts, perception of circumstances, etc., These are at the root of inappropriate behaviour, various addictions, and sins.

A clue

You have a clue as to its source as soon as you identify an inappropriate reaction.

Examining these wounds will enable you to free yourself from them; it’s a necessary step to spiritual maturity.

Jesus paid the price for you to experience healing and true liberation, so that you can live to the full the life he has planned for you!

In other words, you can set off on the road to healing… to psychological and spiritual restoration.

Isaiah wrote: « By his wounds we are healed » (53:5)

Prayer (to be personalised)

Lord Jesus, I thank you for giving your life on the cross to free me from my oppressions and dysfunctions. By your wounds, I am healed.

I realise that my personality and my current reactions are an expression of my past.

Even when I was just a foetus, I stored up sensations related to the well-being or uneasiness of my mother and father.

After I was born, I experienced certain situations (to be developed) that also provoked negative sensations.

I realise that even before I was capable of reasoning and cognitive and emotional memory, various memories linked to sensations were imprinted on me.

My personality and current reactions are an expression of my past.

I received you (or: I receive you) as my Saviour. However, I realise that by having become (becoming) a Christian, I was not (am not) instantly freed from the weight of that past

I understand that you have a plan for my life, that I am precious in your eyes, that you cherish me unconditionally.

I have realised that you are full of love, goodness and kindness towards me. Thank you, Lord, for having done everything so that I could enter into my destiny.

It’s now clear: each ‘volcanic explosion’ gives me information about hidden wounds and is a good tool for identifying them.

Vers la guérison

I come to you so that, little by little, you can work in me to free me from the magma that lies dormant in me, which releases toxic gases, causing my life to decay, and my close and other relationships to deteriorate.

I make the links between yesterday and today between my past and my current reactions.

I’m on the road to healing… to PSYchological and SPIritual restoration.
