Françoise’s testimony
I used to be afraid of everything and anything: a
kind of generalised anxiety at all times. Afraid
for myself and for my close ones… Afraid of
falling sick or having an accident… Afraid of not
being good enough, afraid of others, etc.
This constant fear of everything disappeared
when, thanks to a christian friend, I put my trust
in God. I testify as David did in his psalms:
“The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom
shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my
life, of whom shall I be afraid?” (Ps. 27:1)
“The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What
can mere mortals do to me? The Lord is with
me; He is my helper. I look in triumph on my
enemies.” (Ps. 118: 6-7).
I realise that there’s no fear in love.
Moreover, is it not astonishing that the Bible has
366 invitations to not be afraid? That makes it
one a day, without leaving out leap years!
